The term "Sant" is an Indian word for a holy person, in the same general
area as Saint (!), Sage, Swami, Rishi, etc. The traditional colours of
a Sant are orange/red, usually with the head also covered. They had
long hair, moustache, and beard (often white due to their advanced age).
They carried a sack of gifts, especially for children. They wandered
through India and other countries of the world helping people. This has
been going on for (tens of) thousands of years. There is a connection
with the Four Stages of Life in the classical Indian culture. Each
stage is approximately 25 years and a rough translation could be:
Student, Married Householder, Society Helper, and Meditating
hermit/recluse. Helping society in the above manner is the third stage.

Does this sound familiar in relation to Sant(a) Claus? There are many
such records of such Sants. There are also living Sants.

It is not a fiction or a lie.
