Hi Joel,
Welcome to the list and I see you have joined Ksex too. Welcome there
also.
I do teach classes on Sacred Sexuality and Tantra and have been for some
time. I also have been advising people on spiritual emergence and
kundalini for almost ten years.
My own personal practice is exceptionally blissful. All the symptoms and
side effects that one can have with k awakening I have had at least once
and some that have never been documented.
When kundalini begins awakening there seem to be things happening
sexually that I and others have observed. This is by no means true 100%
of the time for 100% of the people.
First, there is incredible sexual hunger as the lower chakras begin
opening.

women started looking attractive to me, then it was plants, animals, the
world...I wanted to mate with the whole Universe. It some sense it is
symbolic of the urging we all have to become One.
Eventually that urge calms down, if we have learned to not be obsessed
with sex and discover it's transcendent and transformative qualities,
and we become asexual, celibate, and discover the androgynous nature of
spirit as the energy rises in our bodies.
Then once the cycle of Kundalini becomes complete...by this I mean it
travels up to the crown and back....we arrive at a choice point. We can
now choose how to express ourselves sexually as a divine being on the
material plane.
Sometimes we choose to embody celibacy. Celibacy is easy when one is
continually making Love with Self. Sometime we choose to explore the
different polarities that run the continuum from Masculine (Shiva) to
Feminine (Shakti) expression. I am exploring the Feminine aspect at this
time of my life. Sometimes I play with the polarities, sliding back and
forth along the pole but I seem to be drawn more to Feminine expression
lately. I want to be clear also that this has nothing to do with the
body's gender.
Then as we choose the polarity we wish to play with and explore, the
sexual urge awakens again, sometimes even hotter. This time, we play
with the urge as awakened beings, making love as gods and
goddesses...with conscious intent. We know that our lovemaking is a
mirror of the lovemaking that constantly creates and destroys this
universe. We know our bodies are mandalas of the universe.
We are no longer led around by our genitals, although that can be fun
and enlightening still... to let ourselves experience pure passion and
fucking for the sake of just fucking.
When I give the three examples of the penis...in someway I am alluding
to this process.
If we relate to the world from the penis that hangs between our
legs...we are relating to the world from the lower chakras. If we relate
to the world through the penis that grows out of our head (and I have a
big one as do many women) then we are relating to the world through our
upper chakras.
I have gotten heat from people by saying that life can be best
experienced fully when the sex chakra and the heart chakra have merged.
This is easy for the feminine polarity to do, not so easy for the
masculine polarity. Learning to surrender to the Divine Feminine,
Shakti, Kali, Shemayah, Morgan, whatever Goddess deity one is attracted
to, can open the door for this to happen for the masculine. When this
process begins to happen those of the feminine expression seem to grow
steel balls between their legs (as they learn to surrender to the Divine
Masculine) and the masculine essences begin to express themselves as
more softer, passive, embodying feminine energies. This is, IMO, what is
happening to you.
This can become a permanent resting place or people move on as they
merge with their Divine Beloved and begin to live as a Unified Being of
masculine/feminine polarities. This is the ShaktiShiva archetype...often
represented as a hermaphrodite in ancient illustrations. (But yet this
is still not an adequate description of something that is actually
holographic.
We only see 2d representations of it..such as the Yin Yang symbol.) Then
we make choices consciously...celibacy, homosexuality, heterosexuality,
pansexuality, masculine, feminine, angdrogynous, etc.
There are no judgments on which is right or wrong. We can express our
Divinity in any way we choose, when we choose, and how often we choose.
We can make multiple choices and express it all in the moment.
None of these examples is a bad thing. All is necessary development
along the way. You can't skip one stage and move into another. We know
people (men and women) who live in their world and express through their
lower chakras. It is the same for the upper chakras. The problem happens
when we gut stuck in one of these areas and don't move into the heart
chakra.
I must say that living out of the heart chakra is not the answer either.
The chakras are a tool of the physical duality that we have incarnated
into. To my sight there is only One Chakra with different windows or
frequencies which our human expression can experience and interface with
this world.
I chose the penis illustration because it is a graphic, in your face,
can't hide it analogy. Which, to tell the truth, is what a penis does.
It also alarms us because on subconscious levels a penis means sex and
sex is bad. This is a programming which exists in all of us to some
degree.
A penis is also the symbol of Shiva (masculine) consciousness. Our level
of awareness and acceptance denies, disguises, or reveals this
archetype's power in lives.
One only has to look at the emails that has followed my little penis
primer to see people have strong opinions and judgments. :)
Well, I have rambled on enough. I hope I have answered some of your
