Gooooood question! This is what I always wonder when people talk about the
supposed purity of the matriarchal civilizations, if such a thing indeed
ever existed on any large scale. I would like to think that a matriarchal
society would indeed be less warlike, more caring and nurturing and sharing,
etc. However, as far as I have seen, females are every bit as susceptible to
human nature--ego, greed, jealousy (HELlo!), spite, etc., as males. We got
our problems ... but boy, y'all womenfolk have got yours too!

Actually I think the ideal society is led by both men and women, not a
one-sided domination of one gender by the other. I think that is the only
balanced approach. The "patriarchalist" book of Genesis indeed implies that
that was the original intent of Yahweh, *before* Eve and Adam made their
mistake and screwed things up. For only *after* disobeying were they told
that the man would rule over the woman. But the root problem is not
patriarchy. The root problem is a fallen human nature and separation from
God and sin. (However you may define or understand these concepts, through
whatever religious prism, Eastern or Western, these are still realities to
be dealt with!)
And Hety held:

Lol ... I don't believe in reincarnation so I'll take a pass on that, thank
you! However, as for having no clue, you don't have to *be* someone in order
to somewhat understand and empathize with what they go through. You, Hety,
do not have to *be* male to understand what we go through. But it does take
some effort.
