Anyway, I've questioned all that is about having a partner. Somehow I get
the answer that in some cases a committed partner might impede someone on
their path. At least for a time it might be that there is something for you
to "grok" about your ... mmm-singleness of purpose.
I've thought about Jesus and Buddha walking their path--coming together and
going apart with many others, but moving forward in singleness.
Not aloneness, but singleness which might be a different thing. I'm not
saying that I'm like Jesus or Buddha because I do not have a partner :) it
is just that I have found valuable lessons in learning to be alone and
working on my oneness.
I've wished for a partner and finally had to take a look at my ideal of what
it was that I thought I was seeking. Those wily ideals can often be elusive
and in some way ideals can block possibilities.
On this one I have to surrender to the universe/goddess/god and ask to be
led to what is the highest good. It has been hard to let go of the desire
for a committed partner... in fact I haven't ever thought about it this way
until just now... in some way I trust in being where I'm at and that has
taken a long time to get to.
And I'm not perfect.
