How does one listen to there heart? What does that mean? I spose thats going
to be quite difficult to communicate. And surely the answers that come
through can still be influenced by stray thoughts and desires?! Sometimes the
answers that come from the pendulum can be accompanied by insight that
explain why that answer (whether yes/no/maybe) was given.

What I understand by "listen to your heart is":

Inside we know the answers to any question we ask. As long as we are totally
honest with ourselves the answers are there. The stray thoughts and desires
try to bumble their way through but somehow they always seem very two
dimensional and smell of bulls**t. Self deception is futile and although it
may profer short term gain, in the long run you end up kicking your own butt.
I think that discernment of truth is an inherent and natural quality but
takes practice to develop. Like a muscle, the more you work it the stronger
it gets. The more one tells the truth the more truth one sees truth.
