Dear Dean,

Yeah! I think we can get close with analogy and metaphor. But even they
don't hold the power of the actuality.

>This conscious dream was not the
usual type of dream for me, there was no imagery whatsoever, only awareness
of my whole being was submerged in a pool of energy, This energy was
diffused with contentment. I was still aware of my physical body, and K
energy was pulsating through my entire body.

OK! This I absolutely relate to. :))

>My whole body was gently
humming. Usually, I get K surge up through my spine across my upper back and
head, that's my cue to then project astrally.

Interesting. I don't get any spine involvement at night--lots of full body
and brain buzzing/vibrations. When "i" get lost in it, I don't seem to bring
my body or memory with me!

>.But on this occasion, I stayed
focused on my physical body and to just let the energy course through me.
>Then the "understanding" came that this is how I should be feeling
physically all the time, the communication with you was purely in a visceral
>sense, it was not astral travel.

Yes, this is how the energy generally affects me. Of course as you know,
Ramana Maharshi often says bliss is our essential nature: "Bliss is not
something to be got. On the other hand you are always bliss." p. 102 of
Talks

and let K diffuse itself through my physical body instead of taking off

heart. (-:

I say why not travel at will! :)) I suspect we all experience the energy in
what ever ways will make us grow/learn/expand best.

>I love Ramana Maharshi's teachings. ... I realised there and then that I was
looking at my guru,
>I opened the book, read a couple of passages, and intuitively knew that this
was what I had been searching for.

Interesting story! :)) He's one of my favorites too. And one of my
favorite of his insights is below.

Love, Hillary

"The final obstacle in meditation is ecstasy; you feel great bliss and
happiness and want to stay in that ecstasy. do not yield to it but pass on
to the next stage which is great calm. The calm is higher than ecstasy and
it merges into samadhi. Successful samadhi causes a waking sleep state to
supervene. In that state you know that you are always consciousness, for
consciousness is your nature. Actually, one is always in samadhi but one
does not know it. To know it all one has to do is to remove the obstacles."
