The ego-self is a quasi-entity. A stream of transient thoughts that
originates from its true nature,
However, the ego identifies itself with the true Self, but then
dis-identifies itself with the Self because it believes it is the Self,
and thus with self delusion born, it perverts that which is truly sacred.

Dear Dean,

What's very interesting to me is how many people, like yourself, reiterate
and confirm thoughts from 'A Course in Miracles.' I believe that many
people will never really understand The Course because they cannot step
back, away from the ego, and take the role of Observer. And yes, it does
believe it's the true Self, the ego that is. It is the understanding that
it's the "little" self that begins to undo the process of self delusion.
The Course speaks of awakening in obtuse terminolgy, but isn't that how
Jesus spoke to the masses? Again today, He speaks to the masses in obtuse
and confusing language, and again, do they understand? No. Even those who
study The Course will not come to the conclusions you've come to Dean...and
I don't even know if you've read a sentence of it. ;-)

The little "I" is purely a reflection in "duality's" mirror.
Macrocosmically, the true Self is the "I" of "ALL". It's Nature is non-dual
and total Unity. IT does not identify Itself with the mirror, for it is the
Mirror and the Witness of the Mirror's reflection.

Forgive the interjection, I'll butt out now.

No, don't leave yet! ;-) You're just starting! How much more convincing
can it be that we created our egos, our earthly identities, when IF one
imagines oneself without the time and space entrapments -- who's left?
What's left? As Mystress stated, she thinks our egos begin around age
two...when does cognitive thought emerge? Does a teeny baby worry about
hunger? Yes. "It" is hungry. As St. Francis stated -- "It" is hungry, "it
is tired, not "I" am hungry, tired....etc.

as always, with love--Dean.

Well Dean, as always, thanks for your words.

Love,

Hety
