But, as Dean (I think) described his experience, I got in touch with the
idea that simply entering into an earthly existence is suffering. We don't
necessarily know that we suffer. We foolishly go about filling our plates
with the junk
food of life, never even realizing that we are depriving ourselves of
essential nourishment. Does that make sense?

Yeah, Laura, that makes sense to me. And even once we <realize> we're
depriving ourselves of essential nourishment, we still go on depriving
ourselves of essential nourishment. And I don't think so much it's the
"surrender" that takes the suffering away. I believe it's awfully hard to
get around the other self (little s) that we created, the ego, and get on
with communion with God/dess. Why the fight?
