Hello Acara,

I'm not sure if my friend's experience is so much healing from past
incarnations as it is carying over the same spiritual traditions from past
lives. But it is a possibility we should look into, I think, considering his
flashes of being present at sickbeds. Because we discovered a few more
things after I posted. He's always had a special affiliation with
Idun/Iduna, the Norse goddess of immortality, young maidens and young girls.
He's also got this weird thing where he's always seeing apples! Idun was the
keeper of the sacred apples of immortality. Well, we did some research last
night and discovered she's also a goddess of death and the Underworld.
Unfortunately, there is only one myth that survives the Norse sagas about
her, and it is a story of how she was kidnapped and trapped in the
Underworld. She transformed herself into a bird and flew away from the
Underworld. A second version has it that Loki changed her into a nut and
carried her off. She is also the goddess who invented runes, and married to
Bragi, patron of bards. Also a funny coincidence, considering my earlier
posting on a bardic initiation I experienced.

So we've come to the conclusion that he's been, and probably still is, a
priestess of Idun/Iduna. I say priestess, cause he is transgendered, and has
always been a woman in is past life flashes. I suggested he may be a
priestess of Persephone as well, but he says the affiliation just isn't as
strong, despite the similarities between goddesses. We figure he may very
well be a psychopomp, as Idun is an Underworld deity, and some stories have
it that she stays there for half the year, like Persephone.

Problem is, it's so hard to find REAL information on the worship of Idun,
and the practise of psychopomptry (is that a word?) Which is why I'd like to
know if anyone has any links!!!! Anybody?

Hugs to all
Sabrina
