What, may I ask, is the Christian (Catholic) dogma of the
movement of the "soul" to heaven via purgatory?
or to Limbo or Hell?

Looks a great deal like a minor form of Reincarnation to me.

Don't even have to look at Christianity before they reamed out
reincarnation per se. (Do a google on John the Baptist and
reincarnation.... lots of entries saying NO NO!) then there is:
