In my own relationship with the world, one of the more important
(cognitive and intuitive) realizations has been that I am *not* an
island. Skin is what seperates us from the rest of the world, and that
is illusory. We (the people) are part of the flow, the physical world,
but not a seperate part... you know, the old cliche about waterdrops and
the ocean. Anything that seperates "us" from the world is an illusion.
