"There are no Gods or Goddesses. These are but names that Humankind gives,

Divinity is similar to physics because it works the same way each time.

Divinity differs from physics because it manifests differently for each person.

Paradox?

Why is that?

Why do we need to name Divinity as either Male or Female? Isn't that putting limits on the truly limitless?

Is it so necessary to identify one's own gender with Divinity?

Or in some cases with the opposite gender...isn't that separating yourself from Divinity? Maybe a kind of "Anti-Projection"?

Aren't all these things really just metaphors for something we have a difficult time describing directly?

Which begs the question--Is it really necessary to argue over the name of the Divine?

Isn't that what people have been fighting about in the Middle-East for generations?

I had two Jehovah's Witnesses visit me at work one day. The came with genuine concern for me that I might not be praying correctly. They asked me if I addressed God as Yahweh or by some other name. I asked them if they were scholars of Hebrew. The replied in the negative. I asked them if they knew what Yahweh meant in Hebrew. Again they replied in the negative. I said, "Yahweh in Hebrew means 'I am that I am'. How, then, is it possible that I could be praying incorrectly?" They thanked me and left.
