Subject: [k-list] A Question
From: Kimcis640

On 2003/01/14 08:57, Kimcis640 posted thus to the K-list:

Hello Everyone, I'm new to the group of just a couple days and also with
communication from so many people at once. I guess I'm a bit reclusive. I
never thought of myself that way, but since I was at first overwhelmed by the
sudden onslaught of mail, I suppose I am. But I do like hearing everyone
digesting their experiences, the flutter of communication willed by spiritual
inspiration, all of it lit by the glow of my computer, coming from who knows
where. We're all one and the hum continues through one soul and the next.

I have a question: A while back, ten years ago, I had an experience at
night--curled up on my bed. I saw at first a large glistening eye.
Interestingly it was on it's side the same as I was on mine. We were both
sideways. It came closer and closer, got bigger and bigger, until I didn't
see it anymore. I only felt it. It was my first orientation to my third
eye. For a few weeks after I had an annoying ache in my forehead.

Hang with me. We're approaching the question.

Secondly I saw a glowing white triangle. It broke apart into three beams of
light. The beams of light wrapped around me, swirled around me. I felt the
most incredible love. I had been pining away for someone and at that point I
realized love doesn't come from outside ourselves but form within.

Here comes the question: A few years later I shared the experience with a
shaman I met while visiting Santa Fe. He had knowledge of that particular
kind of experience. He said that a women he was working with was trying to
evoke the same thing, and told me a name for it. But I don't remember. I
don't know how to reach him and I thought perhaps someone might have
knowledge of what I'm speaking of. It's not terribly important but it would
be interesting to me if that sort of experience has been documented. I had a
Kundalini experience last summer but the triangle was more of an embracing,
wonderful, but more of a whisper compared to the Kundalini. I guess you
could call it a spiritual hug. The experience was the knowledge, of course.
I'm just curious to see if there has been anything written about it.

Just to let you know the rest of the story: I rocked back and forth in the
love for a while. The third part of it was a glimpse at an oval with pin
lights shining through darkness. I gathered that to be a glimpse of the
universe. Who knows for sure. When it ended the sun was just coming up. I
hadn't been aware of the lapse of time.

Both this experience and the Kundalini happened a year to two years after a
divorce. I've been married twice. In Kabbalah there is a term Tzimtzum: a
period of going through darkness and coming to a place of light, reaching a
higher understanding. I don't believe we have these experiences for the sake
of having them. They are acquired and the process isn't always that
desirable. Kundalini is the knowledge of the self, going beyond the duality.
Perhaps I've gone beyond the suffering. I wouldn't want to test it. So far
the matters I've been dealing with have been relatively easy, challenging,
but not life threatening, no one brandishing guns at my door. A time of joy
and peace within. The self is the light. Aum-m-m-m
Blessings and Namaste, Kimberly
