I don't want to rain on your parade... I'll explain why your present financial difficulties may actually be *caused* by your methods and attitudes, and offer an alternate. You can do as you choose.

Yes, but wanting makes wanting, so affirming that you are already abundant, in the here and now is more effective. Gratitude for having, works better than wanting and desire, and focusing on not having. Feeling a need to call on abundance in the future, sends a message that you do not believe you are abundant in the now.
The components for effective prayer are emotion and intention, and present tense.. in the here and now. Tomorrow never comes...
"Thank you Goddess for all the abundance in my life" works better than "I want to have more." Combine gratitude for what you have, with a present-tense feeling of how you would feel already having what you want, and it works better.
Then, surrender. Let it go, and think of something else.
For example, suppose you want a new car.
Imagine that you already have it, what it would be like. Imagine driving it and enjoying it, taking pleasure in travel and maintenance, feeling grateful for it, waxing it with love. Make the visualization and the attendant emotions of pleasure and gratitude, excitement or whatever, as clear as you can. Emotion+imagination, in the now.
Then, let it go. Turn it over to "as Goddess Wills". Do not think of it again or wonder whether it will be as you imagined. That would be second-guessing your prayer, and showing a lack of faith in the universe to manifest your dreams. Sabotaging your visualization.
Of course, once it manifests there may be other, unpredictable factors that remind you to "be careful what you pray for", but with genuine surrender these will not be too bad.

First, Free Will is Goddess law, so all acts of magic must be scrupulously, consciously consensual or the karmic feedback will kick your ass. If anyone resists being where you have put them without their consent, that resistance will flow to you, as the source of the non-consensual act.
Second, projecting neediness onto others is a negative projection. Not seeing them as Gods of their own lives, creating their own reality. The turnaround will have you placed into a position of need, not abundance.
If you believe you live in a world of need, that prayer will be validated in your own personal reality.
I know a lot of impoverished pagans who complain that their abundance spells never work... it is because in thinking you need to create an abundance spell to be provided for, you are sending out a message to the universe that you think Goddess does not already provide. You are broadcasting neediness and lack of faith. That is what will manifest, in the long term.

I am not experiencing lack... of course I have desires, still.. but focusing on what I do have, with gratitude reaps multiplied results.
Compliment the cook, and she offers you a second helping. Complain about the food, and you may not be invited to dinner, again.

No. Everyone is God, and has the Divine right, whether they are consciously aware of it, or not. Projecting otherwise onto people is placing yourself on a pedestal above them. "The nail that sticks up, gets hammered down."
The "serpent power" Shakti cannot be controlled or commanded by ego desires. It is Divine will, on an individual and universal level. Efforts to manipulate Shakti come of ego resistance to seeing perfection in what Is, and will make karma spankings to the person who attempts it.
Additionally, the use of white light is more hazardous than the new age types who recommend it, can say. White light is very polarized, duality-based. Every action, an equal and opposite reaction, so using white light invites darkness to come calling. A better choice is the "clear light" of Tibetan mysticism. Transparent, like a heat shimmer. Infrared, ultraviolet.
Even so, projecting energy onto anyone without their conscious consent, can lead to trouble. Projecting energy onto people because of ego judgements about what they need, will trigger the related karma in them, and it will flow back to you as the person responsible for poking it to the surface. You are being God for them. It is not conducive to emotional stability.
Of course, it is almost impossible to live without ever projecting anything. Every communication and interaction involves some kind of projection, just as speaking aloud is projecting a sound. For most purposes, a whisper is nicer than a scream.
Especially when using magic, because the unconscious/guardian angel of many people will resist non consensual attempts at magical manipulation of their free will, more aggressively than they would resist a persistent salesman yammering at them.
When I was a pro-dom, I used a "lighthouse" spell. I put energy vertically, up to Goddess with the intention of calling out to people who were seeking what I had to offer, and had disposable income to be able to affoard my services without hardship, as Goddess wills. I attached this energy to my advertising, so that my newspaper advertisements would stand out to people who were seeking my services, and that divine synchronicity would lead them to the newspaper and the page with my ad and contact info.
It was still up to their ego consciousness free will choice, as to whether they called my biz line, made an appointment, or not. A simple invitation, like a well-lit billboard along the highway.
These days, I do not do magic spells for abundance. I affirm abundance. When a bill comes in, I thank Goddess (in advance) for providing me with the resources to cover it. When I am wanting something, I affirm worthiness of having, and abundance in the now.
I advertise lightly via web pages, and trust to "Goddess has it handled." She directed me to do this work, so my success is up to Her. She uses synchronicity to send me people as She thinks best, and I can trust She will also provide them the resources to pay me.
I also remain open to other sources, so regardless of whether work is busy or not, I always seem to have enough. I am not rich in $$$, I live a simple lifestyle but I have a great life! Abundance manifests in many ways, and unconditional gratitude is the key.
I can be mad and the troll and get all bent out of shape, or I can count my blessings. Apply gratitude, find silver linings.
In the last post I sent to the old list, I mentioned my desire to move the list... the moderators were opposed to the idea. ; ) The choice was taken out of our hands, Goddess arranged for it to happen anyhow... and the result (after much effort!) is a shiny new, smaller list whose membership has become filtered, to active members only. Nothing against lurkers, but ... the new list feels much more intimate. No more yahoo snooping or adverts, no more ever-changing labyrinthine yahoo TOS. No more daily viruses and spam coming to the moderators address.
It is ok to ask for what you want, too.
Right now, I am wanting an experienced net geek to assist me finding and installing the cgi scripts I need to make a web-only option for the list... A few people responded recommending their geek friends, and one person responded with a donation that can help me hire a pro. Cool!
