Subject: [k-list] Wisdom In Dreaming

On 2003/01/12 15:09, felix posted thus to the K-list:
I read an account once of a big company building an assembly
plant on one of the remote islands of the Southern Pacific.
One of the representatives of the company approached a chief
of one of the tribes of the local people and asked him if
the young men of his tribe could be employed at the plant.

The chief refused to let his young men work at the plant,
and the company man asked him why he refused. The chief
patiently explained to him that his tribe depended on the
wisdom they found in dreaming, and if the young men worked
it would interfere with their dreaming, and their tribal
wisdom would be lost.

Not being employed can bring about many trials and
tribulations, but it also has powerful benefits. ;-)
