Yess! Gratitude is the attitude! Recently found my way to the excellent,
concise documents on Jim Scannell's page at:

He very succinctly boils the emotional universe down to this:

"All happiness originates from gratitude." Yes! Yes! Yes! Perfect!

By understanding this simple concept, (read the pages!) one can instantly

CONVERT ALL SUFFERING TO JOY! YES!

Whee! I'm really railing now! This is fun! I'll probably end up as some
loon at a busy intersection, with a megaphone and a stack of illegibly
scrawled tracts, thundering imprecations at startled passers-by. Hee
hee! Perhaps I'll even wear a big floppy clown-suit and honk a little
bicycle horn to get their attention. Ah, delusions of grandeur! Madness
is suuch a blessing!
 Heh. I'm just blissed to see so much truth pounded into three easy
pages. Scannell's little documents are a masterpiece. He totally nails
both the cause and the cure for sadness, suffering and depression.
Kudos, Jim Scannell. You have cleverly distilled the secret of the
universe into five simple words.
 Okay, I now return you to your normal programming. Feel free to adjust
the vertical, horizontal and spatial realities in any way you please.
You are in control of your mindset. You can roll the images, or make
them flutter. You can change the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to
crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and control all that you
see and hear. I repeat: You are in control of your mindset. You are
participating in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe
and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to the OuterLimits
