Hi Michael

I know exactly what you mean! I caught the bug doing the Inca Trail. For
me it's about becoming part of the landscape and freeing my senses of the
'noise' of the city and my 'normal life'. I particularly love the majesty
and the sounds of mountain terrain, especially if there is rushing water
nearby. That, combined with the walking, is highly meditative for me.

My fiance and I love it so much that we try to take at least one holiday a
year that involves a fairly serious walk. In fact, we're getting married on
21 December and we're spending a large chunk of our honeymoon hiking in
Patagonia. This bit excites me more than the marriage day!!
