Hi Laura,

I'm sorry I cannot suggest a direct course of action for you, but your post
reminded me of this bit of ageless wisdom....

Yes. It is OK for you to love her, whether it is appropriate or not has no
bearing on the situation. Never change yourself to please another...that
will never work for either of you. You must share what you have been given
and so must she. If the love is unconditional there is no reason to change. Perhaps I can recommend a course of action at that. Instead of surrendering
the feelings you are having, surrender TO the feelings. Let yourself be
buried in them for a while. Let the longing you feel completely fill you for
a few hours. Don't be concerned about what anyone (including yourself and
her) would think. Savor the emotions. Find joy right now in vulnerabiltiy. Bittersweet has a unique taste and that is why it is valued.
