For my own part, having gone through this very recently, I would ask you to
use your feelings around money to uncover your own feelings of self-worth or
lack thereof. Use it as an opportunity.

I realised, through the work with Angelique, that my low feelings of
self-worth came from my experience with my parents, who felt resentment and
contempt for supporting me. In the past few days I remembered my mother
making me feel like a stingy, whining, ungrateful three-year-old for asking
for a small packet of pistachio nuts as we were grocery shopping. I learned
that as a result of this deep-seated belief, I reacted as an 'adult' in four
ways: 1) tentative asking because I'm not sure I deserve it, 2) taking
because I believe I need it, 3) rejecting help because I believe I don't
need it, and/or 4) doing without and suffering in silence. Each of these
behaviours confirmed my belief that I'm not worth it.

I acted this drama out with Angelique and with Andy, my fiance, and this
gave me the opportunity to get to the bottom of it. Angelique was gracious
in making it clear to me what I was doing while handing over to me the
responsibility to decide how I handled it. I looked at my bank balance, and
I discovered quite a lot more money than I expected to have. I offered
Angelique a donation for her work with me, paid some other debts that have
been looming over my head, responded to some emails, and bam! I was hit
with the feelings of ecstasy, which are still present now, 36 hours later.

That, to me, confirms that I was acting in accord with universal law. It's
about value, it's about gratitude, and it's about an exchange. If you have
any problems with money, you definitely need to be looking deeper at your
own issues.
