Well, that is not so odd. The grounding evolves. In the beginning, it
is important to connect to Source outside of yourself, to the larger All...
but eventually, it changes. When you transcend time and space there is
noplace to go, nothing outside of yourself.
I rarely do the grounding myself anymore... mostly I do it when I am
working, in empathy with someone else, to keep their energy aligned. Partly
because it has become permanent, but mostly because simply focusing my
awareness on my heart is all I need. The glow and the peace there keeps me
centered... even when I may appear to be angry or flaming someone on the
outside, on the inside there is the "peace that passeth understanding."
Grace. That, is Me... all the rest is appearances, illusion.
The fully opened heart chakra turns inside out. The heart is a
remarkable chakra, it has the whole universe inside it... when it turns
inside out, the outside and the inside become one. Goddess in your heart
becomes Goddess in everything. The pulse becomes steady around 80 beats per
minute, even with exertion it beats harder, not faster... In sync with the
Schumann resonance of the planet, (healers automatically go in sync with
that when they do healing) and you can feel the whole universe beating in
time... the rhythm of the lovemaking of Shiva and Shakti, creating the
universe.
That is the essence of the Grad ritual for FST, to fully open the
heart, which also manifests full awakening, if the course work or the Tummo
initiation has not done so, already. The course itself, is preparation for
it. Without adequate preparation, the ritual either goes flat, or stirs up
too much karma at once, a bumpy ride.

Do a search on the microcosmic orbit. I don't use it or teach it
myself, I prefer the grounding... but many Kundalites find it useful.
Sounds like your body is trying to do it, perhaps you learned it in a past
life, or something.
