I think it's interesting that you choose to respond to a rebuke rather than
to my mail getting back on subject. :))

Why is it that we so often tend to react so strongly to criticism? Our first
reaction tends to be defensive, so we lose the message in the rush to defend
ourselves. And then there is the "if s(he) can do it, why can't I! " LOL Is
all this a carryover from childhood when we so often feel punishment is
unjust?

Criticism often teaches us more than praise, but we simply don't want to
listen to the message(s).
