To set the record straight, this of course is untrue. I did ask her if she
wanted to take the *discussion* off list. I also wrote her privately that
she was always welcome back, no hard feelings.

That may have been premature! LOL Mini Slither indeed! :))

Occasional unpleasant flame wars are the downside of keeping a very liberal
list--one that is scarcely moderated at all. Other lists might have put a
stop to her name calling early on. I certainly prefer a list with few
rules--one that lets people let off steam from time to time. For Lisa the
alternative to feeling we were being unkind was to realize Angelique was
correct in her assessment of her. The truth can often be simply too hard to
bear!
