Lori and Mystress,

I would like you to know how meaningful this conversation between the two of
you was for me. I am a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master and sometimes I
will give a discount because I see the person as being unable to afford my
prices.

It feels to be a narrow line I walk at times. I am a healer with an
awakened Kundalini. When I touch people with the intent of flowing healing
energy they feel it and wonderous things can happen. If someone comes to me
for a massage and they can't afford my rates how do I not share this gift.
However, I have found that by giving discounts at the end of the month my
bank account is low and I am having to do without.

You have helped me see that when I give a discount I am supporting the
poverty consciousness for my clients and for myself.

In gratitude and appreciation
Claressa

Here is a gift for you: the pro healer game.
First, when you are done unkinking the power chakra issues and seeing
past the illusion of victimhood, you will see God in everyone, and know
that they truly need nothing. That provides the essential detachment to
keep you from getting pulled into the dramas. Clients are God, pretending
to be less, whether they know it, or not.

When I was going through similar issues a wise healer told me, in
regards to people wanting charity: "It is not my job to validate their
scarcity consciousness."

She was talking about money. People who want your prices lower because
they believe they cannot affoard what they need. Giving them a discount
validates that belief, and it is not true. The universe is abundant. It
does not empower them, and it brings you there.

It can equally be applied to the work, itself. It is not my job to
validate people's belief in their helplessness. Yet, if God in the illusion
of other calls me to be compassionate, I surrender.

I assume
you are aware of my struggles with the conversion from trainee to
professional therapist, and I realise that I'm questioning whether or not
I'm worth the money I would charge for a Bowen treatment or a psychotherapy
session.

Yes.

However, I want to make very clear here that I value what you've
helped me realise very highly, and if the best energetic exchange I can
offer you is money, I am happy to provide.
