Subject: [K-list] Conversations in the Night

I recently read a posting that reminded me of some rather strange and
bizarre experiences during my sleep.

My husband woke me up one night and told me I was talking in my
sleep, which is not unusual for me. But this conversation was in a
foreign language which he did not recognize. My husband who is fluent
in the romantic languages, said it sounded like a middle eastern
tongue but could not tell me what it was.

The funny thing is I don't know any other languages other than
English, and I'm not even sure I'm all that good at that! He said I
had a one sided conversation with someone in this language(which
apparently I was fluent in)for about 15 minutes.

If only we could remember everywhere we have been and done in our
dreams, how wonderful that would be.

More disturbing than that is when I wake up in the night and don't
know where I am. I sometime don't recognize my own bedroom, and it
usually takes about 10 minutes to remember where I am. This is
strange because I don't travel that much and should know where I am
when I wake up!

On several occasions I find myself walking around the house trying to
figure out where I am. It's almost like I'm a stranger to my own life.
