I've been K active since 81. I had no idea what was going on and didn't
come across the Kundalini 'label' to match up to the experiences until very
recently.

It put me through hell but throughout the trails and agonies I never once
sought to interfere, regulate, guide it, meditate, do yoga, find a guru etc
etc in anyway. Intuition said NO - LEAVE IT ALONE.

It pushed me right to the very edge of the abyss many many times but
throughout I trusted and let it do it's own thing. It hasn't let me down
yet. Looking back I can see that a PERFECT plan was at work.

Putting issues about access to teachers aside, my overriding advice would be
to trust this thing - whatever it puts you through - and that could very
well be hell on earth. Trust and non-interference are paramount. Even my
wise and trusted therapist who I saw for 5 years (and I didn't got to for
help with the energies...) on occasions made suggestions which my intuition
disagreed with - and I was always proved right.
