I've noticed that when there is a large earthquake
in one part of the world, another big one occurs
within several weeks or so somewhere else.

I like to think of the earth as a big pot pie
with a liquid center cooking in the sun.

As average temperatures rise, the liquid center
expands, causing more earthquakes, accelerated
continental drift and volcanic activity
(heat release). Add to the mix much more intense
storms (and quantity).

No doubt greenhouse emmisions have a lot to do
with this rapid and dramatic change. The not so
fuzzy thing is that because of the huge scale of the
earth (in relation to us), once this alteration
gets rolling (already has),
subdueing it might not be possible.
(but for an SUV, it's worth it!)

Two generations from now
perhaps someone will gather 2 of every animal
and put them all on a big spaceship
and go back to mars...
