I think what he is really talking about, is spiritual preparation
*before* kundalini awakening. The K. process certainly does go more
smoothly if the aspirant has time and guidance to use chi to clear as much
karma as possible and learn to hear the heart, learn how to relate to the
Divine before waking the snakes. Someone who is recommending controlling
the forces, is speaking of Prana, not Kundalini Shakti.

Your next quote would tend to validate this. He is speaking of
controlling the flow of prana to clear the body and mind, in advance of K.
awakening.

There ya go... someone who awakens K. without learning balance and
having proper preparation, will have a hard time when the snakes wake...
and indeed, experience them as "demonic forces", as many on this list who
have become spontaneously awakened and joined looking for help with their
spiritual emergencies, can attest. Of course, the "demonic forces" they are
experiencing is their own reflection... how K responds to overcome their
resistance. It all calms down once they learn surrender.

I think there are very few people on this list who have had the luxury
of such a well ordered path as your references recommend. If they have a
guru, then they do not need the list. The Guru would probably tell them to
avoid it. I suspect with most members, K awakened in them spontaneously,
and any effort to try to control where it goes is just resistance that will
make the path very painful.

Yes... and prior to awakening, this can be done... but after
awakening, it cannot... at least, not without severe repercussions.
