On 2002/09/03 12:52, Lori Worley posted thus to the K-list: That's interesting, Ken. Don't think it would be my thing, though. I just
keep my eyes open. I was in Pakistan last year (got back to UK on 1
September). There were hunks of emerald, green and black tourmaline and
Hunza ruby among other things on mountain trails. Puna in India is covered
in apophyllite. Sri Lanka is well endowed with lots of stones and they sell
them at a snip because the locals aren't interested in them. This is the
way I've picked up some of my stones, though I came across someone in London
who is keenly interested in crystals and deals in very good-quality stones,
at reasonable prices. He does it for the love of the stones.

They've helped me enormously, especially the darker stones like jasper and
tourmaline that have soothed and balanced my physical and emotional energies
and helped me stay grounded when I've felt off-balance or vulnerable.
Moonstone, the stone of the unconscious, helps me achieve very deep levels
of meditation. I lose all sense of time, space and body boundaries when I
meditate with it.
