Dear Shelle,

As you know, flame wars happen fairly often on this list. K brings up strong
feelings and sometimes these get out of hand. Often it is caused by defense
of somebody or something--underneith it all they are based on a desire to
help--to help those with diabetes--to help those with CFS--to defend
traditional teachings--etc. etc. Often flame wars start with defense of
people who don't need defending! It's a healthy blowing off of steam, IMO.
I feel uncomfortable on lists that are always sweetness and light.
