See, this is the problem. We're arguing about semantics and symbols
rather than the underlying reality. Denominational is a form of the
word denominate, which comes from the Latin, de- + nominare to
name. So, non-denominational means not to name or categorize. In
it's most narrow and least preferred meaning, yes, it has a
religious connotation.

There is only one K. energy, and you know that if you've experienced
it, which I assume you have. There are myriad paths and ways of
thinking about it. So, let Hety use the symbols she's most
comfortable with. She made a sincere best-effort not to offend
anyone.

I got goaded into taking on a fundamentalist group yesterday. Talk
about people who are stuck in duality! They are so hung-up on the
symbol of Jesus on the cross that they can't see the underlying
oneness of spirit. They live in constant fear that they'll do
something to transgress the letter of the law and thus suffer
eternal damnation. It's sad, because they worship the dead past and
anticipate a future that will never come, all the while living in a
present state of utter darkness. The only way they can mitigate
their suffering is by putting down other people and other symbols,
and thereby elevating themselves as the chosen ones.

We are blessed to know K. directly. So, what does it matter which
framework we choose to put it in to describe it in this world of
duality? One calls it Christ Consciousness, another calls it
energy, another the Atman, or higher Self, but it's still the same
reality. I'm more concerned about people who are obviously
delusional, and are imagining things like seeing Elvis and Jimmy
Hoffa at the supermarket.

Peace and Love,

Ken
