I did not read Jason's posts this way at all. It sounds reasonable
that humans are capable of change/evolution growth. Who is to say
that the existing wisdom is ALL there is to know? How do we know
those who passed on the existing wisdom could not have gone further?
How do you know that they didn't reach a point that was enough for
them and that was that. Did those who came before reach what they
considered to be the ultimate in progress? Or did they continue to
the death their process of enlightenment?
It seems to me that if we were to stop our process at exactly the
same point as they have 'written' - simply because we don't want to
offend those who came before, either by finding new approahes, or god
forbid commit the ultimate offense by going beyond what they had
accomplished, that we do ourselves and those who passed on their
wisdom an injustice.
Is all there is to know, known? Is all that is known, written?
