There are different forms of projection. One of the body's senses is, of
course, vision. Vision, itself, is a form of projection, neurologically
speaking, just as other senses are, such as the reaction to hot and cold.

This projection within a system is the body responding to its
environment...and is protective and supportive by constantly striving for
balance, (homeostasis)...It is what we are born with....It is as natural as
nature itself until it becomes interfered with by another form of
interpretation, which can then begin to cause dis-ease. This dis-ease can be
seen as physical ailments, emotional discomfort and mental disorders.

It is in the interpretation of what is seen, or perceived, that determines
the flow of, and direction of life, as to whether it is in harmony with
itself, (homeostasis), or in conflict with itself. (dis-ease).

As we grow from conception to adulthood, we are taught many things. These
become the building blocks of the ego. And from this ego there comes the
thought process. These teachings, become our guide, and becomes the way in
which we respond to our environment, in addition to the physiological
responses. When these two mechanisms are in conflict with one another....then
this becomes a problem.

Thinking, has its own interpretive nature, aside from the inherent one
within, and is, therefore, one way of interpreting. But it is totally based
on what has been learned, taught, and conditioned. These include things such
as likes, dislikes, fears, judgements, beliefs, etc. Therefore, thinking is
limited by, and is reactive to the past. It is a reference point within, that
knows nothing else other than the past, until the other reference point
within is re-discovered and allowed.

The process of thoughts, within their own limitations, and when given force
to them by believing them to be truth, can become projected outwardly by
default.

The other reference point, our original mechanism of response, is one of much
debate. Some feel it is spiritual and others do not. But, nonetheless,
there is agreement that it is our natural wisdom and guidance of an expansive
nature, one without limitations. It is of the nature we are all conceived
with. In many ways, what is happening to each of us is "becoming that which
we already are," without all the layers of built-up past.

It is a great disservice to label it. Doing so may add onto the past rather
than help in removing the past.

This inherent nature within can never be controlled by the thinking mind,
nor can it become known by the doings of the thinking mind. It can only be
re-allowed and accepted as the primary guide in life.

In allowing it, the thinking mind must be able to recognize the dis-ease
that has developed over the years and must be willing and ready to let go of
the past and give away its sense of control. In other words, hand itself
over to serve the greater of life within. Ego-death is a metaphor of this.

There are methods, such as meditation, and many others that help to diminish
thinking in order to discover the other reference point. But thinking is
never totally dissolved forever. It is a by-product that, once it can be
seen for what it is, and allowed, then it can be diminished greatly.

None of this is to be taken lightly. As past beliefs are released, which
have become (in their own distorted way) supportive of life, there may be
physical, mental, and emotional side effects that can become magnified as the
shift occurs if resistance is met...... This is uniquely different for each
of us and is mentioned not for the intention of creating more fear but rather
to encourage good observations.

Having a support system of those who have experienced this is most
beneficial as well as seeing a doctor, periodically, for the development or
exacerbation of unusual symptoms. Most of all, taking good care of oneself is
a priority. Proper rest, adequate exercise, good nutrition and intake of
fluids has priority.Norma
