first of all, you seem to think that you know what others are always
thinking and what they have experienced. let me just say that you are very
inaccurate in your assumptions about others. i followed the guidlines as
they were explained - i only keep the portion of the post that i am
responding to. if i don't do it exactly how you think it should be done i
applogize. you seem to be a very particular person but not everyone feels
that same as you all the time. similar to how most spiritual people would
not agree with my thoughts on the chakra system. since you don't really know
me all that well, you don't really have a place to say what i have
experienced and what i have not. maybe we just see things different. i did
not patronize anything that you have said i believe - i did point out some
things which appear to me to be true. and guess what? if you are going to
say something directly to me than i'm going to speak my mind and be as frank
as possible. you can't have everything the way you want it all the time, and
people will not always agree with your point of view. it was not my
intention to upset you, that is why i put smiles in my post.

the chakra models are just attempts to categorize ( at least to me )
something for which we have no knowledge of at all really. unless your
passed over how could you categorize and make distinctions about that
reality? how is that patronizing or offensive when it is just my point of
view? i also don't believe in the astral body model or the astral plane
model. i tend to view reality as levels of awareness, based on my
experiences - which are just as valid as yours are. try not to be so
sensitive - i am not attacking your belief system, i just don't agree with
it. and remember one thing - i don't think i am superior to anyone, i just
prefer to do things how i think they should be done. just like everyone
else.

I don't care if you think you are superior to the
 will of the list.
Please respect the list guidelines and snip the
 previous posts you are
responding to... or, respond within them if you are
 speaking of many ideas,
as I am doing. The list guidelines are by the
 community, for the
community, and they have stood the test of time since
 1996, when they were
first created by polling the members. My job is simply
 to remind and
enforce the will of the list.

 >as far as the chakra system and the astral planes go i
 don't really follow

You have not experienced it, to understand.

 in itself really.

Saying that it is simply trendy, just because you
 do not understand it,
is very patronizing. I did not understand it, early on
 in my path,
either... but as the chakras become clearer, you begin
 to feel the
difference when your soul spark of perception is
 residing in one or the
other. When all chakras are open and functioning, you
 notice the difference
in moving through their dimensional universes... then,
 the stuff starts to
make sense in the only way it can, through validation
 of individual experience.

I do not write about what I have not experienced. I
 am not spewing
dogma of religion, or following a trend. It is my
 talent to help with k.
awakening in people, and it is my experience of my own
 process and that of
 others that I speak of.
Genuine spirituality transcends the rote and dogma
 of religion. It is
experiential. Whether you look at the Hindu model of
 chakras, or the
Kaballah model of chakras, or the kung fu model, or the
 rainbow serpent
ladder of the African !Kung tribes, they are very
 similar. The unity
 transcends individual religions.

 >personally, i feel it is not feasble to make
 distinctions about things we
 >really don't understand fully.

and I would say, it is rather rude to dismiss
 ideas as fashion if you
 do not understand them fully.

 >to say a physcial or mental problem is a
 >result of a blocked chakra or something similar is to
 think that you have a
 >definite answer to the problem.

Honestly, I really do not care if it is true or
 not, I care about
whether it works. I cannot be bothered to validate
myself to you, or try to
persuade you. I have a stack of testimonials up to my
 neck, people finding
peace when blockages are removed from chakras. If they
 were finding peace
by singing hymns to donald duck, then that is what I
 would be recommending.
All is illusion, but within the illusion some things
 are functional and
some things are not. Removing blockages from chakras is
 very, very
functional. Nor is it "trendy". This healing method
 dates back 5000 years
of written history, who knows how long before that.

 > i don't totally deny the existence of
 >chakras because i don't have enough information to say.

but that is exactly what you are doing.

 >but, imagination is
 >a very powerful thing, and if you just accept a belief
 system without
 >question then your experiences and perceptions will be
 affected by it. that
 >is just how i feel on the subject... )

A comedian once wrote, if we need all these fancy
 double blind studies
on new drugs to rule out the placebo effect, then maybe
 what we really
need, is a really good placebo. True enough, by your
 faith are you healed.

However, an awful lot of awakened folks found relief
 from migraine by
opening the crown chakra, when all the placebos and
 pills of western
 medicine did nothing.
