Subject: [K-list] Visualizations ..was: White Gold Alchemy - question for FantomAD3

On 2002/08/12 08:43, lavinaleone posted thus to the K-list: Back in '89 I was given the book 'Creative Visualization' by Shakti
Gawain, this was my first introduction to the art of mental energy
and affirmations. At the end of each chapter there is a
visualization. I thought the concept was sound, but the symbolizisms
given did not fit my mindset. There was one in particular that I
thought if I were to do it I would get a much different manifestation
than the author intended. I did, and still do, use creative
visualizations but I make up my own using symbolisims that are my
own. (I think it may have been a pink bubble that I just could not
get personal with from the book) I have expermented with meditating
with candles and a little moon magic as well and although I get the
basic ideas for the rituals from others I always use symbolism from
my own perspective. It is like having someone else interpret my
dreams, it is okay for dredging up more angles, but given that the
dream most likely is using the context from my brains reference
library to produce the thing, it stands to reason, most likely, it
will be my gut reaction to the symbols that will give me the most
accurate interpretation.
This reminds me of an article I was reading about the difficulties
that the producers of Sesame Street are having with trying to put
together a string of programs to help teach tollerance to Israeli and
Palestinian children. They had to can an episode over an owl because
the owl represents a good aspect to one culture and a bad aspect to
the other.
In Real Estate it is all about location, location, location. In
visulizations it is all about perspective, perspective, perspective.
: ) IMO,
