Yes, you can prepare your mind to be accepting of the fact that you are
probably going to see/sense something that will be a contradiction to your
current view. Sometimes these "visions" are quite disturbing. But if you go
into the meditation with the idea that these frightening things are actually
your higher self guiding you to a greater state of awareness by the only
means at its disposal, the process becomes more cognitive, instead of just a
whirl of energy through your brain that is difficult to make sense of. Sort
of like this post--difficult to make sense of.:^) I hope this helps. If
