In the case of Babaji, his title is
the clue: Mahavatar, which means "Highest Symbol" (roughly). He is an
archetype. What most spiritual seekers would be striving for--Immortal,
infinitely wise and kind.(Though obviously a difficult task-master) Nothing
worthwhile is ever easy.

But, y'know...Jesus probably wasn't that much easier to live with. In the Book of Mark he's downright "short!" "Hey, sorry, but if you don't want to join the ride, then fine, see ya, goo bye!"
