Lori, this sounds a lot like what happened to me. With no clear plan or new
job to go to, I left a job that had made me miserable for almost three years.
 I had to. I was exhausted and miserable. And within a very short time my
best possible work scenario opened up for me with very little effort on my
part. I had voiced to my husband what kind of work I'd like to do, what
hours, what pay I needed, and two days later I got a call from someone I'd
interviewed with months earlier, offering me those exact circumstances. So
much has changed for me since then, completely for the better.
