Subject: [K-list] surrender

I got caught up in my search for the meaning of surrender. Obsessed
over it for two days, I went on a quest through the archives of this
list, each post I read seemed to pull me deeper into ignorance. (I do
not mean to say that the posts were not of the highest quality, this
I knew was a reflection of my own... ignorance... *resistance*)
Late last night I finally gave in to my lack of understanding, I had
to, my back hurt, my butt was asleep again! my eyes were not focusing
my head hurt and I felt defeated.
When I woke this morning I remembered a dream I had had during the
night.
I was looking out a window of an eight story building, the windows
were barred the window was locked. I could see a group of children
and older people across the street. They were in a circle holding
hands and singing but I could not hear their song. I asked the
attendant/nurse? if he could open it for me (where hid he come from?)
He could hear them just fine, but I could not make out the words. He
laughed at me and said Remember Ottis Redding. I asked him what was
so funny about Ottis Redding. He only laughed.
I do not know an Ottis. But I thought I had heard the name before. I
asked my neighbor if she knew. She says she isn't sure, but she
thinks he sang Sitting on the dock of the bay.
Awwwwh. Surrender.
It isn't the mind shattering all enlightened blast of knowingness I
was searching for (obsessing for) but I think I got the joke.
