Surrender hhmmm - not something that happens over night. There's an old
cliche, 'having the courage to change what you can, the wisdom to accept
what you can't (or something like that...), and that's a good guide to
surrender. A another way to look at it is to invert it in terms of stopping
trying to 'control'. The need to control (people, circumstances etc.) is
born of fear, invariably of the unknown. Learning to surrender is learning
to relax, trust to something you can't see, and hand over the reins of your
destiny to K, which knows far better your 'lower mind' ever can what's best
for you.

You could say it's the higher part of your mind, uninfluenced by lower
impulses, temporary emotions, fears etc. Others would call that part your
connection to God/dess etc. Part of the same thing at the end of the day.

Eventually K purges the lower mind, so fears and negative emotions that
govern the need to control slowly dissapate - well never completely or you'd
stop being human, but you get far more 'control' over them if you get my
drift! It's a kind of paradox.

In my experience it's come very gradually over years and experiences, during
the course of many of which I had no choice but to surrender control - kind
of forced into it!
