Hey everyone,

I've been thinking lately about something I read in the Beatles Anthology.

Paul McCartney was telling about some of their first experiences with
marijuana (they had not tried LSD yet). He said that one night when he was
really stoned he suddenly realized the secret of the universe. He thought he
wouldn't remember it the next day, so he wrote it on a piece of paper and
gave it to an aide to keep for him. The next day he found that he'd written:

There are seven levels.

He laughed it off, no idea what it meant. But I think maybe he was on to
something! This was before they met the Maharishi, before acid, and more the
kind of thing you'd expect from George or John, really, which makes it
interesting. Paul was the "practical" one.
 
This seems to correlate with the idea of 7 chakras. I wondered if any of you
mystical scholars could tell me what else it could mean.
