Hi Rastlin,
The answer is: only one way to find out. :)
But some of the reasons why you won't hear of these travels:
a) The limitation of travel due to the strength of your chakras
b) Wonderland effect. Instant travel by imagination without using real-time
projection will produce a scene that is "whatever you want to believe it
is". Not necessarily what is.
c) Assimulation

If by meditation, practice, dream-recall, or whatnot, (a) and (b) are
minimized, the bigest problem is assimulation. Upon return from a projection
what you absorb (remember, understand, comprehend) is very dependant on your
development. You may remember nothing at all. Perhaps what you see after
entering a black hole for example, is not comprehendable while in our
physical bodies. What if we see.... ehm... a new color. I dont know. Trying
to come up with something we cant really imagine. :)

And then theres the point that when you project these things seem somewhat
uninteresting- when the pools of thought and spirit are wide open, who wants
to see if jesus really had a beard or not. :)But hey, don't let me throw a wet blanket on your root chakra. Go for it,
and maybe you'll come back and tell us.

into a black hole just to see whats on the other side? has anyone thought
about projecting to the edge of space (if there is one) to see what is out
there? what would happen if one was to project into the center of our own
galaxy what is the highest level one can astral project to? has anyone
thought about projecting to the past just to see how it all begain or what
happend to all the biblical figures whom disappeared? or what happened to
all
the civilations that had dissapered? and these are just a peice of dirt on
the tip of the ice berge of question that i have has anyone else ever
thought
of these?
