Hi Rastlin,
The topic of projection is vast. It's also worth the reading because its
very interesting in my humble opinion, and it is an alternative way to
strengthen chakras and aetheric body.
According to the commonly accepted experiences and the theories developed
from them, you can project into a certain number of bodies not counting the
physical. In between each level (I prefer to call them spheres) there are
sub levels (or sub spheres) which are a transition or mixture between the
two.

For example, eather or ether is a fluid which can be manipulated easily
although invisible, and is in between the substance of astral and physical
planes. The astral is "the stuff of dreams" somewhat. If you astral project
succesfuly you're in for a ride. Your subconscious controls all here, and
the only limiting factors are your imagination, your control over your
subconscious, and your ability to recall and assimulate after you return
from a projection.

Beyond physical there are; Astral, Mental, Buddhic, Atmic, Anupadaka and
Adi. I really recomend reading Treatise On Projection.

whom here knows about spirit projection (and i do not mean astral) i have
heard from several different sources that there is a form of projection that
is more powerful than astral known as spirit anyone know about this?
