Subject: [K-list] Five best books on Kundalini : runners up
From: Jacques De Schryver

On 2002/07/14 09:29, Jacques De Schryver posted thus to the K-list: Probably the runners up are :

KUNDALINI : PATH OF SPIRITUAL EMERGENCE
    Christina Grof

Kundalini energy and Christian spirituality :a pathway to growth and healing
    Philip St. Romain

Kundalini Experience: Psychosis or Transcendence?
    Lee Sannella

Excerpt from my site :
Not only christianity has known Kundalini for long, but in a documented way.
Main texts are from Ste Therese d´Avilla, St John of the Cross.
One exceptional synthesis was written by August Poulain, a father jesuit who
wrote a 606 pages book ATnospamDes Graces d´Oraison´. Heavily documented, this
survey was for me a discovery. I ordered it on the net, through Powell used
books, and got it for £ 17 only, and in good condition.

I discovered it indirectly through a book by another jesuit priest, Anthony
de Mello. His book, Awareness (The perils and opportunities of reality),
ISBN 0-385-24937-3.

De Mello lead me to Philip St. Romain and some others. Then, I was ready for
investigating this christian oraison, ecstasis, Holy Spirit, bliss and
whatever the name.

When in basic classic Kundalini books I read about this big study by the
jesuits, hop ! I tried to put a hand on it. At first, sites like Amazon.com
stated this book was not available. And then, on one of the list, I found
it. It was in England. I ordered it at once. And I read it taking my time.

It was worth it...

And also :

Good news : there are some interesting books published directly by people
with a spontaneous awakening. I loved to go through them. But most lack the
self induced analysis I should have like to find there.

Anyway, just have a look for example at this guy who awakened Kundalini with
a mind-machine, using it 4 hours a day for two months !!!

His name is Thomas W. Wolfe. He wrote ATnospamAnd the sun is up : Kundalini rises
en the west´. It is, in my opinion, among the real good books.

More to come if you are interested...
