If you live the states, go to a Renaissance Fair and you'll
be surrounded by SCA members. Friendly folk, but can
be a little cliquey among themselves.

There's a movie, Reign of Fire, coming out on the 12 about a
dragon. The billboard ads show the great beast destroying
London while military helicopters fly close behind. Just
another take on Godzilla? We'll see.
