I so regret if anything I wrote implied anybody was better
than anybody else. Of course nobody is better than the next
guy/gal. I think when I use the word special I mean
"different" in a very unique way.
All my first 32 years I allowed the expectations of others
be a hindrance to my growth and my ability to use the gifts
cast into me by Spirit. Insecurities arose, confusion about
why nobody else knows what I am aware of, and why they can't
do the things I can do. Most good Christian folks would try
and convince you that there was a devil in side of you and
you are going to hell if you did not repent, really. As a
child, when I excitedly shared with my parents that I had
learned to raise and lower my heart rate substantially at
will, I got the "our son it a freak look", no words, just a
look. That shut down that line of open communications real
quick. You learn to be a master at acting to get by without
having to talk to people about what you know and believe and
can do. For decades everybody tried to tell me I was
created to be the same as everybody else. "We are all equal
and should act such and such a way, blah, blah, blah." The
truth was that I was very very different, not better. Until
I accepted the fact that my peculiarities were not part of a
mental sickness, but a wonderful gift that I HAD to embrace
with open arms, I was ineffective at using those gifts.
Until I rejected the ideas that if you did not think in a
linear and logical lock step fashion you were in need of
counseling, there was pain.
Discovering and accepting ones uniqueness, not betterness,
enables one to share that uniqueness with creation as most
would agree these sort of gifts should be shared. You are
right in that we can only change ourselves, but can we also
provide information and love so that when others are ready,
they can change themselves as well?. Some have been sent as
leaders just for this purpose. It makes them no better, they
just have a different job than most, and believe you me, it
is not a job anybody in there right mind would ask for.
Lost of grunt and growth, solitary path, rarely any glory.
Some of us were very very different from our earliest
memory. It took no adult K experience to turn us on. If
anybody else does not have memories/experiences like such,
don't discount the experiences of those of us who have. We
are not claiming to be better, just very different.
For those in this situation, until you grasp hold of your
divine purpose and nature, you walk around like the kid in
the movie "The Sixth Sense." Scared, unable to help
yourself, others, and inability to truly communicate with
loved ones. You are alone. It has taken 8 years since my
full acceptance of my lot in life to gain the knowledge and
vernacular to be able to communicate it in a way that could
be understood well by others. I am glad that I have finally
started communicating and have "Outed" myself so to speak on
this list and in life. The good news is I've just begun!
