When I read your posting I cringed because of the memories it brought up for me, and quickly read a different post. Now I'm taking the bit in my teeth and responding properly because I believe this will be of help to both of us.

My first 'Kundalini experience' occured when I was in my mid teens, the second about twenty years later. I had been married for about 12 years, but the relationship was codependent. I felt I had to let go of the marriage. I went through a huge emotional upheaval. The energy body ties with my wife were as severed as they would have been if one of us had passed on. I was in a world of pain.

I had heard at the time it was common for a marriage to break up when one partner went through an 'initiation' expereince, but that it wasn't absoultely neccessary in all cases.

Not too long afterwards, about a year or so, I was having some of the booklets and other material that I was giving out in workshops and selling printed at a quick-print shop. I had been doing business with these people for some time. This summer the owners son, a handsome young man in his early or mid 20's, was working with his father in the shop. He had some questions for me once he had seen some of the material. I was giving workshops on Runes, not for divination, but as tools for awakening. He approached me and confided that his sweatheart in another city had been working with Runes and after a while their relationshp broke up, becuase, in essence, she was zooming so far ahead of him. The man my first wife married had a similar experience with a girlfriend and Runes. The reason isn't 'Runes' or 'Kundalini' or whatever tag we like to use for the experience:

It seems to me, from my experience with my first wife, and also with experiences with finances that often we have structures in our lives that are not supported by spirit, but by another part of ourself, ego. When that part dies, (or at least the part of ego concerned with the structure disolves into the light) the structure dissolves along with it, or shortly afterwards. The part of ourselves that was putting energy into that structure is gone. What is left is connected with divine light, and will only support the activities of that light.
