hi Shelle

over the years, many folks have complained (and sometimes unsubbed) because
they felt that the list produces more bandwidth and volume than they can
handle... this is especially true for folks in places where they pay by the
minute for internet and phone access... if this rule were not enforced we
would have hundreds of posts a month quoting folk's favorite poets, teachers
and friends, etc... this is not the purpose of this list, which is mainly
meant for discussion of member's experiences...

this is explained in the list's guidelines (aka FAQ's):
  http://www.kundalini-gateway.org/k-list_faq.html
we do request that all folks read the list's guidelines before posting,
which is commonly accepted netiquette... since it seems than many people
still don't read the guidelines before posting, i will briefly quote the
relavant paragraph:

"3. Please do not send anything to the list that you have not written
yourself. Brief quotes in the context of a conversation are acceptable,
anything more, kindly provide a reference instead, or put it on a website
and post the URL so people can look it up if they are interested. Please
remember that this is a discussion list, not a library or soapbox for
preaching.

" Do not send chain letters of any form, including virus warnings, charity
requests, petitions, jokes, lucky charms or other warnings. Do not forward
posts from another list. If you want to share a website, please send the
URL, do not repost the content. Be respectful of the author's copyrights.

"Bandwidth is a shared resource, and must be prioritized for discussions
about Kundalini, member's experiences, and support for those seeking
assistance with their process. People who join the list agree to receive
discussions about Kundalini. Some of them live in countries where they pay
for phone charges, and bandwidth by the minute. They pay to receive your
messages, please make it worth their while."

warmly,

percyval
