Dear List,
I used to own a *lot* of books. I started 'collecting' them in my teens, and they piled up as the years went by.

My first wife was a 'book collector' too and we had bookcases and store room boxes full of everything from our old university text books to the complete collection of 'Peanuts' with lots of Sci Fi and Fantasy, and inspirational books too. When we made our big province jumping move in the late 90's without even two wooden nickles to rub together we sold off or gave them all away, and I've never been a bookie again.

I've bought a lot of 'new age', or 'pagan' or 'occult' or whatever gave me the nudge I needed at the time, but now, when I think I'm finished with them I return them to the bookstore as used books (some in such good condition they've been put back in the shelves with the new books). My philosophy is that if I need them again, I'll have the money to buy them again. You know what? It's worked out. Over the years I have sometimes bought the same book two or three times, but my place is much less cluttered, and I have the money to buy the book when I require it.

For example the Barabara A. Brennan books..I bought 'Hands of Light' when it first came out in the mid 80's. An excellent book that taught me the basics (and more) of energy working...haven't had it in the house for many years, but I recently purchased it again as well as her newer book 'Light Emerging'.

At one time I owned all of Stuart Wilde's books. Our points of view were amazingly close on the topic and experiences of 'spritual' growth that I bought a copy of each book as it came out during what was a troubled time in my life. Now I own none of them!

I seem to have this philosphy with Siddhis associated with K activity as well. I allow them to pass through my life without getting too attached to them. I don't cultivate them, except for a minor cold and flu zapping ability that has kept me from these annoying little bouts for the last 16 years or so. Hmmm I can always do 'energy work'...I have seemingly always been able to read the thoughts of people I'm in conversation with...just minor things like that that aren't dramatic and I don't associate them with running high levels of energy. Clairaudience, OBEing and so on haven't appeared in a long time.

What are other's experiences or philosophies about Siddhis? Have you, do you cultivate them, keep em nice and shiny, or let them go when you don't seem to 'need' em?

Kenneth
