Don't get to carried away with the stories of Reiki. Its mythology
that helps people understand (a teaching story). Our minds have
problems with words so we need pictures or stories to create an
understanding. And its just the beginning on the truth coming out
from Japan through F. A. Petter's books. Has anyone read "the Spirit
of Reiki"?

That's why the symbols as well. They are tools of the mind, to give us
pictures of our goal. If you have 300 pictures as in some reiki, it
gets a bit confusing. So I think when you try too hard to use symbols
you loose the focus of the intention, which is what the tools are
suppose to do.. Help you focus. However the original Reiki symbols
are used by so many people that they create a thought held within a
form. So its like prayer.. where many are gathered together...

My daughter.. whom I have told the story about in a previous note,
does Reiki or something.. She doesn't use symbols to focus her intent
and that she can do to an incredible degree.
