  I was attuned some small time after I had been introduced to the
wierd and wonderful. Up to then I had had no direction as to what was
happening to me and had started having those sick images, left or
right, up or down.
The reiki calmed me down and I think in a small way helped. I don't
know what might have happened without the attunment and it is perhaps
intresting that I didn't see the reiki as relating to what I had been
experiencing, not knowing anything about it, and was only attuned
because there happened to be a course set up in the most bizzare set
up of circumstances and it was the only route that seemed to be
available.
